A commercial post-construction cleaning checklist
Plan the final cleaning conversation before your renovated space opens.
Confirm that the site is ready
Agree on trade completion, working utilities and access. Clarify who removes heavy debris and packaging. Identify any unfinished work that could create more dust after the clean.
Walk the space by zone
Review entrances, interior glass, restrooms, breakrooms, floors, fixtures and accessible trim. Record delicate materials and manufacturer care instructions. Separate elevated or specialist work from the ordinary final-clean scope.
Close with a shared walkthrough
Schedule time to review the completed scope with your contractor. Keep a written list of any remaining items and agree on ownership and timing before handover.
